TFCA GPTF HOLDS PARENTING SEMINAR

As the Tabernacle of Faith Christian Academy celebrates its 33rd foundation anniversary, the General Parents and Teachers Fellowship held a parenting seminar at the TFCA Sanctuary last March 1, 2019.  Dubbed as “Parenting 102: Parents, Kids and Social Media”, the event was attended by nearly a hundred parents and teachers.  The resource speaker was Rev. Dr. Radziwill F. Santiago – founder and president of LeaderShift International.

He is a respected speaker on leadership, youth and the family, and is an adviser to various government and private institutions.  He stressed on parents being the mirror of their children – that the kids will always be imitating what they see their parents doing be it in social media or just any everyday activity.

Dr. Santiago also gave tips on how parents can deal with the children on social media.

Before the session, the opening prayer was led by school chaplain, Pastor Jonathan Malangis.  A welcome remarks was then delivered by Rev. Dr. James Xavier D. Pacheco – TFCA GPTF President, and was followed by a special number by Ms. Remilou Jean Buquid and son Xymon Deuxnae from the pre-school department.

Also present were TFCA Principal Mr. Andrew E. Tan, HR Head Ms. Leah T. LLarena and other school staff.  The Closing Remarks was given by Pastor David T. LLarena. Rev. Renato Carillo, a senior parent led the closing prayer.

The night ended with food and fellowship, and further pocket discussions on the seminar.

This TFCA GPTF-sponsored event capped the foundation week of the beloved school who always aims to partner with parents in molding the next generation in excellence.  JXP
