Superbook and Gizmo Visits TFCA

Popular Christian Cartoon “Superbook” visited TFCA during its chapel service last January 12, 2017. Spearheaded by TFCA School Chaplain, Ptr. Mark Adrian Jayobo invited the staff of Superbook together with Gizmo the robot for a show. This is in line with the 2018 National Bible Week Celebration with the theme: “The Bible is the Foundation of Righteous Leadership and Living .”

The staff of Superbook prepared a live, impromptu storytelling session about the “Parable of the Good Samaritan” which involved selected TFCA gradeschool students. Led by Superbook host Ate Lenlen, the students were guided by the Superbook staff in acting out what happened during the parable while the emcee was telling the story.

The students were also treated with a viewing of a short episode of Superbook. After which, Ate Lenlen asked random students questions about the movie and when answered correctly, received prizes.

Gizmo the robot also made an appearance and gave a dance number to the delight of the students. The program ended with a photoshoot per level with Gizmo and the Superbook staff.

Superbook is an anime television series from the early 1980s, initially produced by Tatsunoko Productions in Japan in conjunction with the Christian Broadcasting Network in the United States and more recently solely produced by CBN for global distribution and broadcast.

The Christian Broadcasting Network is producing a new Superbook series and has released 4 seasons.
